Spirit of the Season

I don't think anything could capture the Christmas spirit like these pictures did for me this year!

New Bath Toys Are So Fun!

Here is a fun little video of Grayson with one of his new bath toys he got for Christmas from his Mimi and Pop. Bath time is fun enough, but now getting him out of the bathtub is next to impossible. I can't say that I blame him. This toy is pretty fantastic!

White Christmas!

It was beautiful! Grayson wasn't really sure what to think of the snow just yet. Who would have thought we would see a white Christmas?

Merry Christmas From the Family!

Christmas has come and gone. We enjoyed having all of the family come over to our house to celebrate on Christmas Eve. We did our usual s'more roast on the 23rd with our niece and nephew and the neighbors. There was a little cookie decorating and we also enjoyed a Mexican feast! Grayson loved all of his toys and while he is still not all that interested in unwrapping them, he enjoys playing with them and climing on all of the boxes!!

Safety Town Christmas

We recently took Grayson to the Frisco Safety Town that the fire station puts together each year. He got his nose painted, and got to crawl around in the fire truck. His most favorite moment was his visit with Santa as you can see from the picture. :) I'm hoping he will warm up to the big guy a little better next year!

Daycare Christmas

Before the Christmas break, we had a Christmas celebration at daycare. What do you get for the woman who cares for your child, kisses his boo boos, holds him when he is sick, and essentially is his second mother when you are not there? Well, I don't think you can put a price on that kind of care, but all of the parent got together to get her a small token of our appreciation, an iPad. Needless to say, she loved it! Linne also gave all the kids, and parents gifts. Grayson received a truck and a small race car. He plays with it everyday. He loves the lights and sounds that it makes. We are completely and abundantly blessed!

Santa Clause is coming for breakfast!

As a kid I always loved Christmas, and I still do. Last year Grayson was just a month old and Christmas was just another day to him. This year I wanted to start some traditions to help make this holiday extra fun for him. One event that I planned was Breakfast with Santa. We invited some of our friends and their children over to enjoy this event with us. We also collected toys for the Collin County Advocacy Center. I think as Grayson gets older, it's important for him to understand how blessed he is with all he has and that it is our duty to help those who are less fortunate. The breakfast was amazingly fun!!! Grayson is not so much a fan of Santa just yet, but I'm hoping he will warm to the idea as he gets a little older. :)
