First Haircut

So I struggled with the decision to cut Grayson's hair before his 1st birthday. That of course was the original plan. He was born with a full head of hair and lost very little of it, so in the last 8 months it has gotten a bit shaggy. So after discussing it with Brandon, I bit the bullet and took him to Snip-It today and got it cut. I justified this by only getting it trimmed and evened out. In true Grayson fashion, he did FANTASTIC! There was not 1 tear shed, not even by Mommy. The best part is that he still looks like a baby. I was so worried he would already look like a little boy. Huge sigh of relief!!

I Love My Gym and Miss Addie!

We have been taking Grayson to My Gym for almost 2 months now. He loves going and interacting with all of the other kids. He enjoys sitting on the trampoline while the other kids jump, bouncing him up and down, he loves the ball pit, and he loves the swings. He especially loves Miss Addie. I think he has a secret crush on her. No matter where she is in the gym Grayson is looking for her. It's probably because Miss Addie always has fun activities for the kids to try from the zip line to the roller coaster and train rides. Grayson gives My Gym a thumbs up!!!

I AM CRAWLING!!!!!!!!!

So Grayson has been crawling since the beginning of his 7th month. He would make small rather than go for long distances. He had the moves down, but no motivation. His toys were always where he wanted them, why go to all of the trouble of crawling for nothing?

As we were on skype with Mimi one night we realized what motivated G to crawl: the iPad, or anything electonic for that matter!! :) Here is video proof!

There is no stopping him now!

Vacation

Recently we took our first summer vacation as a family. We knew Grayson wouldn't make it too far in the car, and there was no way were were taking him on a plane yet, so we settled on San Antonio at the Wild Oak Ranch, and the Hyatt Lost Pines Resort in Bastrop. Grayson was such a fantastic little road tripper!

While on vacation, Grayson got to experience being in a real swimming pool, float down the lazy river, pet some animals at the petting zoo, and hang out with our wonderful friends. He also got to experience fireworks, which he loved, since we were on vacation over 4th of July.

On the way home we stopped in Round Rock at Round Rock Donuts to check out the 2 pound donut from Man vs. Food.

7 Months Old

As hard as I'm trying to fight it, Grayson is growing. You are told over and over again how fast it will go, but no matter how many times you hear it, you cannot be prepared for how quickly all of the changes come. This is difficult as a mom because you would like to keep them little forever, but the more the grow the more fun they become also. Since it is inevitable I guess I will just roll with it. :)
